Anyone have issues with aftermarket brake discs?

The Prev owner told me he tried aftermarket ones and they warped on him, although the what I assume oem discs are warped also.

Looking on Amazon, looks like I can do a full brake job for $100 ....

I have had aftermarket ones on my truck for 30k now and no warping. Now the brand they are might make a difference

Brake discs don't just warp for no reason. There are specific causes that attribute to warping or "excessive runout". Overtorqued/undertorqued lug nuts, inproperly installed brakepads, inproperly beded brakes, ect. If you follow the manufactures recommendation to break in, and torque everything correctly, you shouldn't have an issue. Also remember to clean your mounting surface on the hub, and if there is excessive corrosion, they need to be replaced, or check runout, and shimmed. Remember brakes don't warp typically (unless extreme heat is applied), instead the develop lows and highs on the braking surface causing the vibrating and poor breaking performance.

I installed Autozone Duralast pads and rotors on my 2003 Tacoma 2.4L at 55,000 miles. It now has 75,000 and no problems.

I think people who just install pads without doing the rotors run into issues more often

My last Front brakes were Toyota Rotors and pads a few years ago.
