I've got a 2015 dcsb v6 what's the best aftermarket exhaust to put on. Don't want a raspy sound.

I like my magnaflow a lot. Its dead silent cruising, nice sound at wide open throttle, and a little rumble at idle.

I too enjoy my Magnaflow. Link for install & accurate* videos:

*actual FEET away from tailpipe, not directly under the tip, like most videos. Who will ever be right under the exhaust tip to listen to your truck? Besides, that close stuff makes the microphone clip like hell.

Looking for something with a nice deep sound but not obnoxiously loud. No Honda Civic crap. Lol

I had the muffler shop cut out the OEM exhaust, weld in the magnaflow exhaust and bend all new pipe exiting right down right after the rear axle. The cats and y pipe is still OEM.

I dont know the part number for the actual exhaust, but its their 'off road' exhaust. Looks like a long cylinder with 1 enter and exit pipe.

I'll also add if you're looking for extra ponies, don't count on this to do much at all.

I hear that one is loud as hell.

OP: I'm afraid you're not gonna get "Deep & throaty" from this 4.0 V6. Inline 6, maybe, bot not this motor.

Edit: I opened up the front end of mine with the Volant Cold Air intake kit with ram air scoop. I didn't do a before & after video of that install, but I've heard others say it made a noticeable difference at the back end.

I had the regular magnaflow oval with the center inlet and offset single exit and it sounded the same as this new one.

Also agree, our V6's will never sound as good as a V8.

The best option is to take the amount of money an exhaust system would cost and throw it into your retirement account. It will do much more good there. You will never get a truly good sounding exhaust note off of these V6 engines.

I think the TRD exhaust sounds pretty good.

They all sound like trash. Any exhaust on anything under a v-8 sounds terrible. With a 350z and 370z being the exception.

Anyways I also went with the Flowmaster as shown in the video and it sounds perfect. Not obnoxious but deep and loud enough, the perfect exhaust for a v6 truck. I've seen and heard the TRD and MagnaFlow exhaust, and well you might as will keep your stock exhaust...

I like the TRD. Living in Va I wanted something a little louder but wouldn't attract too much attention. TRD fit the bill for me.
