Yeah, I found that out in June from the Manufacturer. Just have not been able to pull the trigger on it.

I attached the bling lights to the brackets supplied then the brackets to the truck light housing using carriage bolts. Made life alot easier. I had 2 carriage bolts that the square section under the round head fit neatly in the slot to hold it on the inside (nearest the light) so it can't turn when tightening while I used nylock nuts on the outside. I had to enlarge the slot a tad on the other side to fit a different size of carriage bolt.
Beauty of this method is you need only have access to 1 end of each bolt (outsides) that made tightening and aligning them super easy. They are held in very tight. I had planned on attaching them at the back from a third point but decided it wasn't needed with how tight they are held now. Simple to do later if need be.
I couldn't see how else I was going to get these tight as getting a wrench in between the bulb and the housing looked difficult to impossible. It was easy on the outside as there is lots of room.

has anyone used the bling lights as true fog lamps? I'm not looking for driving lights but true fog lamps to cut through the fog.

I did for about a year but then they started to bug me. You will not get a true fit with them. I went ahead and bought some OEM fog lights from a part/ junk yard store. They were 125 shipped brandnew. I's say save up and fork out the $$ for the OEM ones. It's worth it in the long run.

    Hey Man,
I tried to get to your link on E-Bay, it is no longer available. Any other ideas? I am waiting for some custom fit step rails, floor mats for my 08, along with a receiving hitch and wire harness from JCW. They do not have the oem fog lights.

    Just one question.
Where do we find socket pigtails for the relay?

Our friends at Radio Shack don't sell them

    Thanks,

    Ed

My truck was all prewired already. I just looked up under the truck by the light sockets and the wires were there. I also looked on the dash where the switch is supposed to be and the wire was there. All I had to do is add the relay
The fogs I bought came with the relay and switch for the lights. It took about 15 minutes to install everything

Do you have a phone number of the store where you purchased the oem fog lights at 125.00? What kind of harness did you use in hooking up the lights? Thanks.

:)My tacoma is not pre-wired. I have factory fog lights with pigtails and a factory switch with connector. The connector has a place for four wires. Can someone tell me how to wire this system. I want the fog lights hooked to the switch only. Thanks.

can I hook the fog lights to my regular headlight the low beam, I noticed that when I switch to high beam the power goes out on the low beam light, if I can I prefer this so it can work just like a factory install light

Thanks for the build log, I am also looking forward to installing some lights in the blank sockets in the front of my truck.
