I recently got my 2017 TRD Off-road and I’m curious about people experience with aftermarket grill options. Are there any cheaper alternatives for a TRD Pro grill? I’ve also seen things like 300 Industries grills on Amazon, has anyone bought one of those?

    Thanks for the help!

Cheaper is a subjective term you need to realize what cheaper means on this forum.

By cheaper I mean less than the 400 it cost for an OEM

Just do yourself a favor. Spend extra money and get an OEM Pro Grill, or spend a little more and get a BAMF grill. You’ll be happier in the long run. I had a eBay pro grill and wasn’t impressed with the fit and quality.

OP, first welcome to TW and congrats on your new purchase. Secondly, there are many many grille options for our Tacomas. I'd start with the search function int the upper right hand corner of the site. Or, use our good friend google. Once you pin point a few options, I am sure you can come back to TW and find real world reviews on here. Oh, this place is fucking gold after a few boors or a old ham sandwich for work lunch

I just installed a Mad Hornets grill. Took about 10 minutes and everything lined up nicely. It was on sale for under $100. I have a ‘17 so I didn’t have to worry about sensors/garnish.

Did the Mad Hornets Grille come with the TOYOTA letters? I just got mine and the letter insert wasn't inside the box. Tracking still says it isn't delivered, maybe its another package with the stuff in it.

Hmmmmm. I didn't order through Mad Hornets. I used MC Auto Parts, but my grille came with the grille, letters and lights. Seems weird they'd send them separately. Unless, of course, they were shipped from two different locations!

Speaking of grilles, anybody found a way to have the grille lights come on with the ignition instead of with the headlights? I want to run the lights whenever the car is on alongside the DRLs. I know there's a way to do with with tapping into some factory wiring, but trust me, I am not the guy that should be screwing with factory wiring. If you knew my luck, you'd understand. Wish there was a way to get it just right using the fuse box.
