Hey Guys, I have a 2nd Gen 2006 Access Cab that I purchased a Double Din Pioneer AVH-1300NEX head unit for. I also bought the dash kit and a wiring kit for it, this one:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=331076898302&view=all&tid=1481069795014

Last night I started to solder up the connections and found that there were several connections from the new Pioneer HU that did not have a corresponding wire on the ebay harness. I then went to Amazon and ordered the same one that Crutchfied suggested for the truck:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002BEQJ8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It frankly looks to be the same thing as the ebay harness but for $5 delivered I figured to give it a try. I know that the new HU has several features obviously not present in the OEM HU but wanted to post here looking for verification. I'm obviously a noob when it comes to wiring in current aftermarket audio (I was pretty proficient in the 80's though lol) and am guessing that I'm going to have to do a bit of researching but wanted to post up here first in case I am missing the obvious, Thanks.......Mark.

If you purchased from Crutchfield you can call their tech dept for help. When I've installed aftermarket radios there are always a couple left over.

I will check them out and list them when I get home and look them over tonight if I get a chance.

Regarding getting help from Crutchfield that is likely not an option since the Head Unit nor wiring harness were originally purchased from them, these items were actually gifts for my son (he drives the truck but I own it) for Xmas from someone else.

    Thanks Again Guys......Mark.

Looks like I originally ordered the wrong harness, luckily it was cheap lol:

Here is the new harness I ordered from Amazon which is the same one Crutchfield suggested:

And Here is the color / wire chart for the above pic of the female connectors:

You probably won't use any of the leads for the amps if you have a non JBL system. Also won't use power antenna wires or the mute leads.

So far it looks like I have appropriate connectors for 2 of the 3 plugs from the back of the OEM stereo, does anyone know what is involved wiring wise for the 3rd plug on the far right?

You won't use the 3rd plug on the right unless you had plans to install the steering wheel controller... IF you are planning on installing it, make sure you get the plug and play harness so you don't have to cut into any wires, I just completed my install today, took me all of 90 mins start to finish.

AXXESS steering wheel controller - https://axxessinterfaces.com/produc...ota&Model=Tacoma&TrimOption[0]=Standard+Audio

Plug and play harness for steering wheel controller. This plugs into that 3rd plug - https://www.crutchfield.com/S-y9Ihd...a-70-8114-Steering-Wheel-Control-Harness.html

Question I recently bought the Pioneer AVH-1300NEX. I’m planning to connect over the weekend, but it seems there will be a gap on the sides. Searching for a dash kit to fill but not much luck. Anyone have suggestions?
