I am currently on my 3rd stock radio and I'm sick of it restarting when connected via bluetooth.

Anyone have recommendations on 3rd party headunits that retain steering wheel controls and rear camera functionality?

    Thanks!!

3rd stock head unit ?!! Info please.
I hate my Bluetooth dropping the music info from my phone constantly. I have to mash down the volume knob and restarting the radio to re-establish the Bluetooth connection.

Toyota’s stock entune system is one of the worst oem systems out there. Anything from Kenwood, pioneer, or Sony would be my choice. I’ve had pioneer and Kenwood and prefer the Kenwood. Their interface just seems easier to use. The one thing pioneer has going for it is their auto tune system, if you don’t want to spend hours tweaking the eq the pioneer can do it for you in a few mins. Don’t have any first hand experience with Sony but have read good things about their carplay unit.

Yes, I am aware of Crutchfield. Asking on the forum to see what people may have swapped into their truck.

SWC and camera are easy, like said above, crutchfield has everything you need. The tricky part will be customizable settings for the vehicle that are embedded in entune, if you are interested in keeping those.

Mine doesn’t drop connection. The radio literally restarts by itself. I’ve noticed one thing that causes it almost every time is trying to make an outgoing call. I’ve been to the dealership multiple times, they’ve “updated” the software on the unit but it still continues.
I did get a loaner Camry and it didn’t have any issues.
