    Hi guys,

I am trying to figure out how to install my aftermarket horns on my base model 4cyl 2015 Tacoma. It appears to only have 1 horn? Second, the stock Horn appears to only have one wire inside the connector...? Here are some pictures. Please help a brother out!

The single wire is power. It is grounded through the mount. I always use the factory wiring to trigger a relay for aftermarket horns.

So I have to run a new ground to both horns? And I need to split the power between the two horns as well?

Yep. Run ground wire from the terminal to the mounting point you use for the horns. I always use ring terminals for that. Suggest soldering all connections and using marine heat shrink on all connections.

Are those the $14 Amazon horns? I just used a pair for a project. They don't draw very much. You might be able to get away with using the stock wiring.

But if it blows a fuse dont replace it with a larger one. You will need to use a separate relay in that situation.

Connect the two positive wires together then connect to power. Connect the two negative wires together then attach to ground. My horns were not labeled for polarity. I just used "left and right" to determine polarity, if that makes sense

Specs... should I run a new power wire or split into existing? I’m getting mixed info here.

I mounted the horns. Only one is hooked up to power while I figure out another power for the second horn. Both are individually grounded to radiator support. Where can I run power from and link it up to the horn circuit? I’m confused on how not to make two separate circuits for the horns. Won’t that mean I need an entirely new switch to use the second horn?

Is that 7A each or for both? The stock fuse is 10A. If you are unsure on the actual draw, then run a relay.

You can also hook it up without a relay and see how it does.

The choice is yours, but a relay is the best option if you are unsure what to do. You can still use the steering wheel to honk the horn with a second relay.

This is what you should do. See the drawing above by @whatstcp. Excellent drawing!

I already took a screenshot of the diagram. Hopefully I can figure this all out. I am a dummy when it comes to wiring these kind of things up.

Then you may want to recruit an assistant that does know what they are doing. Just a suggestion...

Where are you in the bay area? PM me and I'd be happy to help wire things up. I'm in marin.

I replaced the stock single disc with dual trumpets on my wife's Corolla. The stock circuit is more than fine to fire both.

The stock fuse is 10 Amps. His horns are rated at 7 amps each. The total would be about 14 amps on the circuit. Depending on the accuracy of his specifications sheet.
To be on the safe side it is better to install a separate relay fused at 20 amperes from the battery and controlled by the stock circuit.

Then again he could be fine with the stock circuit... It isn't like he runs around with the horn depressed all the time.
