I had to pull the injectors off of my 5VZ-FE in order to clean them & troubleshoot some misfire issues. Best practice is to replace the o-rings everytime you pull & reinstall the injectors. I went with the FELPRO ES70600 o-ring kit cuz the OEM o-rings are like $5 bux each, and the FELPRO kit comes with 4 o-rings for around the same price.

I made sure to lube the o-rings with gas & slowly twist them in. They went in smoothly, no issues. Almost 100% confident I didn't pinch or damage them during installation.

Anyway, I did a smoke test with a DIY smoke machine, and I'm pretty sure a couple of the FELPRO o-rings are leaking. Right off the bat, I noticed that they weren't as beefy as the OEM rings, and the rubber seemed to be of cheaper quality. Bottom line, these FELPRO o-rings are a bust.

So, before going the super-expensive OEM route, I'm wondering if anyone has a source for GOOD injector o-rings at an OK price, that seal well, and that are of decent quality rubber.

When I got my MotorWest denso "upgrade" injectors, they included a single-use packet of super lube. I had initially tried using gas as a lubricant as specified in the FSM, but that resulted in some leaky o rings :facepalm:So I tried again with the supplied super lube (after I ordered some OEM o rings) and had much better success.
