OME suspension kit (887 Coils, Nitrocharger Shocks, Dakar Medium Duty Leaf Packs), Proline Bed Rack, Alu-Cab Gen 3 RTT, 300 Industries USMC Grille, Mobtown Off-road front recovery bar, RCI rear hidden hitch bumper with Rigid SR-Q back up lights, RCI steel skids and sliders, ShiftSense Pro, Relentless Fabrication bed rail mounts, Rago Fabrication antenna, fire extinguisher and hood latch mounts, KCHilites Gravity G4 amber fog lights, Baja Designs Squadron Pros, Falken Wildpeaks 265/75/16, MXT400 Midland GMRS, Bearcat 980 SSB CB, Hella Supertone horns.
To my surprise the stock leaf springs on my my 2017 Tacoma Off Road (with tow package) were neutral right off the showroom floor and only go negative from there with any weight I put in the back of the truck or hook up to tow. I occasionally tow a double axle trailer with two mowers and equipment for my side job. The weight of the trailer and gear I estimate is at 3500-3600lbs. I have looked though the posts here and additional sites online looking for a solution that would give me better load carrying and a couple inches of lift for the rear without feeling like the truck body is attached directly to the axle lol. The consensus for leaf springs seems to be Deavers, OME Dakar and Allpro. The Deavers downside seems to be their high price. The Dakars may or may not increase the load capacity and/or give any lift depending on who is giving the description, and the same for the Allpros, except for their heavy duty which seems like overkill? I will probably be going with Bilstein 5100's all the way around to offset the lift in the rear with new springs, but can't afford to super mod my truck right now. I don't want to do airbags because the stock springs are so bad they need to be replaced anyway. Are there any other suggestions or anything I am missing?

Oops, tow limit should have been listed as 6500. My problem still remains: my leafs bowing like a huge frown and looking like they are going to snap any second. I'm no truck expert, but those stock leafs are unnerving to look at.

Have you looked at doing a "add a leaf" install?

Dakars exceeded my expectations. That being said, all pro has kind of fell out of favor with a lot of people here. Not speaking from experience. Just what I’ve read.

I had an AAL before adding my dakars and I can tell you it’s worth the extra coin to upgrade to a full pack no matter who you go with. If you’re towing or hauling extra payload, skip the AAL.

From what I have seen written and feedback from two popular dealers in leafs/rear suspensions, most say and AAL is a band aid to underperforming springs. Unless you are talking about adding multiple leafs, I think like the Icon RXT pack?

I personally have the Deaver j66 which rides and flexes incredibly when the bed is empty. Throw in a load of firewood though, and its on the bump stops!

I have the OME "Heavy" Dakars on my 2018 DCSB OR and I tow my Turtleback Expo Trailer fully loaded at around 2800 lbs and it tows beautifully. Still maintains an ever so slight rake as well. I also probably have 3-400lbs of gear in my bed when towing on long trips and its been a perfect setup for me so far.
