Plain chrome ball off ebay for $17. Rubber grommet in boot opening. Gets hot in the sun though. Feels good and heavy (16.8 oz.) Perfect with the URD short shifter. No more accidental reverse.

    TF are "lego hands"?

Mine is OK (from Lithuania) but really LIGHT I want my knob to hang with some serious mass.

Installed the OEM Hilux, leather shift knob. Purchased through Amazon. It took about a month to ship from Taiwan. Very happy with it.

My amp subwoofer control. The double sided tape kept coming off so I just duct taped it.

I'm looking at this one too. Is there any weight to it or is it the same weight as the stock ones? It fit the factory boot too?

i emailed Raceseng, they have adapters for thread pitch and quality looking knobs. they also make a boot collar that will attach to the bottom of the knob. but you would have to cut the OEM boot to take the plastic pice off i would assume. but my cart has everything i would need and it looks like it will be 193$! yikes. but you get what you pay for and you touch the knob every day. so might be worth it.

No, it's light. May add some lead.

No, it will need grommet or adapter mod (easy)

3/4” grommet was too big, so I bought 5/8” grommet.. stacked them together. No way I couldn’t slip the bottom lip inside

If you pop off the centre console, lift it high enough to get to the bottom of the boot, the chrome ring is held on with a tie strap. I cut mine off and removed it, then slid the boot down the shifter and tie strapped it to the shaft. I don't have a picture of the finished product, I will take one tomorrow. I really like the look.

Edit, I just noticed your picture is 2 gen. Not sure if the same applies or not.

Here is a picture of the boot once the chrome ring is removed. I got the idea from another member. Just don't remember who, so thank you who ever you are!:hattip: I like the look. 20200311_162624.jpg

Most people trim off that bottom lip. Fits much better that way.

    Cool stuff
Were you able to get that redline E-brake boot to sit? I just installed mine and you are 100% on the gauge being too small and not wanting to sit in place!! Looking for a solution that doesn’t involve adhesive

Yes. It does stay clipped in, but I am gentle with it if I clean it or have to pull the console.

Getting the bend right was a PITA. And, I spread it a bit to get the best bite in the clamps that I could. No adhesive.

Some larger gauge or stiffer material and I would have been way happier. I don't think that I could have transferred over the stock wire.

I’m going to have to be gentle as well for the boot..... and not to mention the boot is a little long .... I had to zip tie it to the handle and cinch a little on the underside. I don’t know how long the E-Brake boot will stay put.
