Is the hose size the same between the factory lines and the aftermarket cooler?
What size bolts did you use?
Can you fill the cooler with WS prior to installing the hose for correct capacity?

"Back in the day" anything with fins and tubes worked. Spliced into the tranny lines and mounted on a home made bracket. We didn't care about looks. It was all about function. Not so much now. Sorry, showing my age.

Just wanted to show my install on a 2018 SR.
This is the Derale cooler. Note that where the rubber hoses go through the radiator support I fabricated a rubber gasket to prevent chafing and abrasion.

    Hope this is helpful.

I ordered the pass thru tubes and measuring them they are 10mm OD. That's about 1/2mm larger than 3/8" for anyone doing a search.

Did you get satisfactory results from your expectations with this setup? It looks good on the install.

Did you use the radiator as part of the system flow or use the stand-alone setup (no radiator involved)?

Decided to order a Derale cooler. Are y'all filling the coolers up with fluid to adjust for more capacity or just installing and topping the trans off?

    Thanks!
Cooler was installed just prior to ATF drain and fill.
Level was adjusted as part of service.
Aftermarket cooler was installed in series with radiator cooler.

This was installed just prior to ATF drain and fill so fluid level is now ok. At first I did the IR thermometer adjustment but found out my scan tool reads ATF temperature so I repeated the level check. Not too much discrepancy.
