Aftermarket -please make a better fuel door

The worst fuel "door" I've had was on a '71 Buick Electra 225.

The rear license plate pivoted at the bottom edge.

 

Still have to be a special kind of stupid to not recognize that a dry creaky hinge needs lube

 

4th gen will be interesting. If the design is similar to the new Tundra's, then the fuel filler will be on the driver's side while the tank will be on the passenger side, with a long filler neck running across the width of the truck.

 

Weight distribution or another reason?

 

I'm guessing weight distribution. It's possible the previous platform originally was more Japan-focused, while this one is more North American-focused (where most of the sales are).

The starting battery is on the passenger side in the 2022 Tundra well:
