I'm still confused as to the whole backspacing and offset bit. Can someone simply tell me yes or no if these will fit? I have '07 Dbl Cab 4x4 trd which came with 16" TRD rims 265/70/16.

New wheels are goign to be KMC Enduro XD122
    Size17x9 Bolt Pattern5x139.7 FinishBlack

Plan on putting Nitto terra grapplers on em, 285/70/17

how does backspacing and offset come into play?

Those are the wrong bolt pattern. You need 6 x 139.7.

I don't see the backspacing or offset listed in your post. You need one of the two and then you can calculate the other one.

I have them in a 4.5 BS and a 0 Offset and 16x8..they fit but very close to the calipers...but they fit. I have matte black

alright, I found the rims with 6x139.7.

How do I figure out my back spacing and/or offset? Is this tire dependent or based on the suspension?

People who seem to be running these rims say they fit but are super close to the calipers but they do clear. Is there any danger or issue with the small clearance?

As long as they clear that is all that matters...again 4.5 BS, 0 Offset, 6x5.5 Lug pattern. They will stick out just enough..that is what most will run around here. at least ones that run KMC Enduros. And I believe we all run 16s.

here we go...this is what I could find:

    17x9, 6 on5.5 Bolt Pattern
    • Backspace 5.00 in.
    • Max Load = 2200lbs
    • Finish = Machined
    • Hubcentric = No
    • Offset = 0 mm
    will they work?

First off, do you have a lift? You will need one to run a 33" tire. Otherwise you will rub on the UCA.

Secondly, the 5.0 BS is too much for 285's. You will need 4.5.

I agree that he will need a lift to run those tires, BUT... 5.0 BS is NOT too much for 285's. I am running these wheels (17x9 with 5.0 BS and 285/70/17) and they fit without any problems.

if it is stock hieghts I dont think those tires will fit for 17" rims it is 265/70 and for 16 265/76 . those are the biggesst for stock height
