Aftermarket stereos?

Looking for an aftermarket stereo that would replace the factory one that is close to plug and play...suggestions?

 

Check out crutchfied.com. They will recommend all the components you need to replace your head unit and maintain all controls and ports, as well as wiring harnesses, antenna adapters and bezel kit.

 

Great...touch screen options?

I like that adaptor plate! mine is from crutchfield and doesnt fit that great. It comes out on every bump. Where did you get that?

 

It looks like a Scosche Double Din. I have the same one and just have to glue the ears on the sides to make sure it stays tight.

I'm waiting for Pioneer to release a HU that supports CarPlay (Apple). It's supposed to be in development stages.

Toyota is also working with CarPlay as OEM option.

I have pioneer AVH x3500BHS and i love it.

 

I just put in an Alpine X008U, with Kenwood eXcelon XR-1800P speakers in the front doors and a Kenwood eXcelon P-XW1000B 10in Subwoofer. Now I just need to clean all the fingerprints off the bezel, and dust of the screen

 

Just installed Polk Audio DB6501 components in the front, and DB651S's in the rear. Driving them with a 300w Alpine amp and the clarity and volume is AMAZING! Also installed a 8" powered sub behind the driver rear seat.
My question is are there any aftermarket head unit solutions that will let me retain my OEM back up camera ability? I don't want to install a camera ready rear view mirror either.
I have the Entune + non Jbl, non Nav touch screen right now.

I am NOT really impressed with this head unit at all, but would like to retain the rear camera, and possibly OEM mic for phone calls.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Can an adapter of sorts be used to plug the OEM camera into an aftermarket unit?

 

I replaced mine with an Alpine CDE-143BT; nothing fancy but does everything I need it to do and then some.

 

I'm really close to pulling the trigger on this one. Really need to update my old blue clock looking pioneer. Just came out within the past couple weeks and loaded with feautures. Don't care for the dvd player but it has just as good of features as more expensive ones and it's got a 7" display.
