Has anyone installed a temp gauge on their gen 1 2.7L?
If so, what brand did you use? Installed via the manifold or radiator hose?

    Thanks!

I saved a lot of work by just installing a Scangauge II

It tells you a lot more than just temperature. Look it up. I think you will like it.

Unless your going to install a mechanical temperature gauge the factory one is just fine .

A royal pain matching sending units with different brand gauges at least for me.

Why do you think you need to track the exact temp of the engine? I see a lot of people freak when they do this and the temps changes by 5-10 or even 20 degrees in different conditions. That's normal. Nothing to worry about.

Scangauge is pretty expensive, if all you want is temp, just get a $20 bluetooth OBDII scanner and a $5 app on your phone.

I was going to get a scangauge II then spent a couple hours reading about the ABS light problem and disbling a certain set of pins and which connector does that but not this one type stuff. Does anybody have a link for the correct adapter cable that fixes the ABS light problem in a gen1? I held off till I figured this out..

I contacted ScanGauge directly years ago and they sent me a different cable solving the problem. No charge.
