Installed a TRD pro grill on my 2021 TRD OFFROAD Tacoma
Ordered the grill from The Taco Garage Paid $191.74
The “TOYOTA” letters are screwed into the grill unlike the real grill which only has double sided tape. I also added some super glue behind just for a little added strength.
I did trim some excess plastic off of the grill which was no big deal. The TSS garnish I ordered off of Amazon and I haven’t had any problems. I did put a thin washer between the top sensor screw in order to angle the sensor upward. Not sure if this was necessary but I figured the positioning of the sensor is lower than before so I angled it up a little.
All in all I’m very happy with the new grill and especially happy that I saved money by buying the grill from The Taco Garage rather than from Toyota.

I have the same grill (and garnish from them as well).

Truck is lifted about 2" up front, 32" tires. Took me a few tries to get the spacing under the garnish correct. Ended up right at 3mm worth of washers under it, and then it didn't want to behave for the next 300 miles. Finally settled down after about 10 start/stop cycles (and the 300 miles) and has been perfect ever since.

The factory upper bolt will handle 3mm worth of washers, but that's about it.
