I bought my taco with no thoughts of modding it. Heck I had no idea what SR5 was - turns out it was the chrome trim, so I went with it instead of replacing all of those parts with black.

One scenario is to get the grill just the way it comes - chrome? You can always get it powder coated either black or white or whatever...

I'm considering powder coating mine black and losing my bull bar, but to each their own. (I got the bull bar after watching an old lady pull into a pakring spot in front of me, bump into my truck, and back up just a little to park)

I think you're truck's going to look great either way, but try and find a balance. I've got too much on mine right now, but it's easy to scale back...

Here's a pick of my T-Rex billet (before I got the lights on the bull bar)

Black is my personal preference, but I think the only vehicle that COULD get away with chrome and still look good is a white one. :)

I bought the TRD Sport because I didn't want chrome. I'm not going to start buying aftermarket chrome now. Go black

Don't like the chrome on white, either go black or maybe even something off the norm like powder coat of gunmetal gray. Just a thought.
