    Have you considered building your own? Buy a good lower receiver first. Those are what gets threatened by the govment. Then, you can, at your leisure, buy the parts you want to have as you can afford it.

    i have but i really want to go somewhere...pay my money...and take whatever it is that i buy home...i dont want tobother with shipping or ffls or anything like that...and the places around here only sell fully assembled ar-15s...at least as far as ive found

    Ok. Well, it may be something you still want to consider. For the price of a decent AR off the shelf, you can build one just how you will want it with all the parts you may want to upgrade in the future.

    Yeah.. being a newbie with ar's I bought mine in parts (4 parts) and it was a breeze to put together and a LOT cheaper that way. The lower is the only part that you have to fool with the FFL part. just find one online and then go to your local gun shop and tell them what you want to do.. it's not that much of a hassle
