AI Art. Midjourney, Dall-E, etc

Been messing around with AI art a bit today. Mostly on Midjourney. Thought I'd see what it could come up with using a Tacoma.

Fun to mess around with and see what you can come up with.

 

Midjourney is fascinating. I saw that someone from a game studio won an art contest with an AI generated piece. Pretty cool

Can you imagine if you saw an ad for a Tacoma in the back pages of a comic book in 1950? AI can.

 

It's neat to see how others can use it and manipulate it. I've been just watching what people are inputting today and seeing what is generated. Some are goofy like mine but it can also produce some pretty amazing stuff in just a few seconds. Will be interesting to see how useful it can become.

 

Have been loosely following AI artwork, I’ll have to play with it. Went to commercial art school 30 years ago, had to do literally everything by hand, computer artwork was in its infancy. Got to the point where I would scan in sketches then manipulate in the computer with AI (adobe illustrator) or photo shop. Then moved to strictly digital, still a long process. Used to do all the artwork and make my silk screens for tees, then set up booths at events to sell them. Now I farm all that out with digital print on demand, they handle everything except the artwork. So much easier than fussing with inventory and having to be physically at an event.

Be interesting where this new tool takes us.

 

A few I came up with yesterday on midjourney... really having fun playing with this tool. I find it interesting that the AI will (on some pieces) throw in a 'artist signature/mark' on the image. I've google searched the images and nothing. Very cool stuff!
