Thought I did but I know now I don't lol. I though I did cuz when I put it in 4wd I thought both my rear tires were locked cuz they were like skidding across the grass

Yes cuz I don't want them side airbags going off. When the vsc is off what does that do?

you would have a RR DIFF button, IIRC...and thats only available on the TRD ORs. you can slide both rear tires of the even lack of traction, i believe.

should turn on the auto lsd and keep the vsc from kicking in. you have TRAC in 4H, but not in 4L unless you've modded and then i havent really seen any benefit from it. i also dont think the auto lsd works in 4L.

Is the vsc off good for offroading? I know a locker is better but I really don't know much about the vsc and stuff

if you are trying to do as much in 2wd as possible, i'd run it as is...if its tough, then press the auto lsd on...if it's still too tough, then click into 4H

So the vsc makes sure the limited slip is not on until I turn the vsc off?

i dont think its as much as that, but the auto lsd isnt on by default. maybe the two systems cant function at the same time.

A-TRAC rigs also have a rear locker so...yeah.

I understand why a lot of people knock A-TRAC on this forum (short version: David_K is a douche canoe), but really it's honestly a huge improvement over open/open and I rather like it.

The difference is, unlike Mr. K, I've been in multiple situations where A-TRAC didn't get it done and A-TRAC + Rear Locker did. I formed my own opinion rather than parrot others. I like it, it makes 4x4 easier to get along with than open diffs or LSDs, but for true maximum traction there's still nothing that beats a mechanically locked differential. Period.
