Anyone else see this on MORR? Looks like truck is parked and passenger airbag deploys. Obviously assuming electrical since it was a water recovery but they weren't submerged *that* bad. Glad no one was injured... kinda scary to thing those things could pop while parked!

While it is rare for airbags to deploy themselves it has happened, add moisture to electronic things and the chance of odd things happening goes up substantially.
Airbag modules on most vehicles are mounted to the floorboard in the centerline of the vehicle and they typically aren't sealed units so if you get water inside they are gona be one of the first modules to get wet.
If you look below you can see the Airbag ECU in the 3rd gen is on the floor right below the dash so it would almost certainly have gotten wet.
If you ever get water in the interior of a modern vehicle disconnect the battery as soon as it's safe to do so to help prevent further damage although typically once electronic modules get water in them while they are powered they are toast.

And never unbolt the sensor unless the battery is disconnected. And at that, wait an hour or 2.

If you unbolt the roll over sensor and it’s hooked up, and it tips past the threshold. As soon as you turn the key to ON. The airbags will deploy.

Somewhere in YouTube there is a video video of a Toyota Corolla that a Tech at the dealership did just that. Boom….the bags deployed. He admitted to it and said he knew better. He just forgot.
