Hello guys, I´m new tacoma owner, is a 2008 double cab prerunner trd sport, 55,000 miles, all the air bags are in place, and the only light that I can´t turn off is the air bag´s. First check all the sensors, then disconected the battery for more than 30 minutes, and nothing happened, so yesturday I took the taco to my mechanic and the computer red a code B1650 occupant clasification system fault, please let me know what to do.

    thanks.

I don't know about this particular fault code, but often the connector under the front seat can get knocked loose. I'd start there.

You said you checked the sensors- How did you do that?? That sounds like the sensor in the seats to determine weight- So check the plugs under the seats to make sure they are connected, you might need to get the sensors tested to ensure they are still good.

I had the air bag light and just took my taco in to the stealership. They fixed it for free. That was about a 2 weeks ago and i have 51456 miles on my truck.

This link might help, I think your problem has something to do with the airbag sensor in the passenger seat.

Hey OP did you ever resolve this issue? My airbag lights are on including passenger off light in dc after a long road trip with a 350 lb. navigator riding shotgun. Solus scanner brought up B1650, then further checking into occupant classification system yielded B1785. In order to begin resolving issue it looks like I need an intelligent tester (Toyota specific????????????) to perform a zero point calibration and sensitivity test.
Did you end up taking to squealership? I buy Toyota because they're supposed to be reliable, trouble-free machines. Please help yall.

Hey Airun, did you ever find the problem to your airbag issue. I know it's been awhile since this thread was posted but I'm having the exact 2 codes come up. B1650 and B1785. Thanks
