Ok troops, I have a 2006 4 banger taco 5 speed manual base. So my airbag light is on. I have done some research. From what I have read, its either the clock spring, or the sensor on the bumper. Now, so my question is this, how many of you replaced the sensor and that took care of the problem? I know a sensor is around $100 and a clock spring is around $250 to $300.

From what i've seen there is a recall on the clock spring from Toyota, double check to see if you are on that. I was but im not sure if being a second owner can qualify for these recalls?

Update. Called the dealership and was advised the clock spring was replaced in 2013. I was advised, it would cost $100 for a scan and to diagnostic the problem. All that just to tell me what needs replaced lol. So, it could be the passenger side air bag, seat belt buckles or the bumper sensors. I have more research to conduct.
