    Hey guys,
I know theres numorous threads out there reguarding this, and ive read what feels like most of them. But i cant find a solid answer to me question.

I just ordered a set of firestone ride rite air bags for my 2013 dbcab. Ive got a canopy and typically carry a tools and what not on a regular basis.
I have a 6x12 cargo trailer that squats the truck pretty low which is what prompted me to buy the bags.

    Anyways, my question is:
I bought this truck second hand. Its got billies up front set at 2.5, and what appears to be an aal in the rear!! But i am not sure.
    2 long on top
    1 med on the middle
    1 short
    1 shorter
And the overload. For a total of 5 leafs + the overload.

Can i get away with just the air bags or does it sound like ill need a spacer? Is it common practice to use a spacer when youve got a lift as they're designed for stock ride height?

I dont do a whole lot of offroading currently, so articulation isnt a huge concern for me right now, if that makes any difference.

    Thanks guys.

I don't have an answer, but I am curious about your leafs. Stock is 3+1, so you having 5+1 intrigues me. Can you post any pics of them?

I don't think a 5+1 leaf pack, plus bags, plus spacers sounds bueno.

You should be able to post them here. Even easier that they're in your album.

Seems like plently of room, and a good ride height for the majority of my use.
But like i said, with the trailer hooked up, it squatted to about an inch above the bump stop.
So for daily use, it just seems maybe a little tall for bags without a spacer!?
    I could be wrong..

Hmm, looks like your original leafs are the 2+1, and a 3 leaf progressive AAL was added. I didn't think that 2013's would have the 2+1 pack though.

Any consideration into getting a full leaf pack to replace them? That'd be your best solution IMO. HD Dakars can be had for about $500

The Dakars crossed my mind. Although i read a post of a guy with Dakars and his truck was still squatting under load with a heavy trailer. Also, i live up in the Yukon, and things here arnt cheap, nor is shipping. And thats if the company even offers shipping here. (Unfortunately)

Oh man that's rough. Leafs shipped up there would definitely not be cheap.

    Yea its not ideal.
Keeps the mods at bay i suppose. Lol

Your guess is good as mine. Im not too familiar with the leaf packs in any of the models really.

Any more insight on weather id need spacers anyone?

Kinda seems like you're a perfect candidate for them.

There are also 2" spacers available. I had those plus the Daystars before I went with the AP Expo pack. Now just the Daystars and the bags. So yeah, you could use the cradles.

Any advantage to the cradles vs spacers? Or vice versa?
I wonder if they ship to the great white north!?

Cradles are around 3/4 or 2cm thick. Spacers are 2inch or 5cm thick.
Spacers are bolted to the airbag, cradles are not, allowing for most travel of the rear suspension.
Cradles are plastic, spacers are steel.
Both bolt to the lower perch.
