I broke the air box cover on my 2010 4 banger.

The flange where the latch hooks in totally broke out.

I've tried plastic weld and it won't stick to that hard plastic.
Does anyone have any alternatives to the plastic weld?

Maybe someone has a cover that they removed to install a CAI. I would be interested working out a deal for the whole thing.

    Thanks,
    Bill

J&B Weld, J&B Kwik, or J&B Water Weld won't work? Or any of the Loctite stuff? I find that hard to believe.

    Numbah,

I could get by with just the lid. If you have one please PM me and I think we'll be able to work something out.

    Toyoda,

I have not tried the JB Weld products, but I did try 2 different epoxy type two part plastic weld products, and neither worked to my satisfactoin. I sanded , cleaned with alcohol, and allowed to set up for 24 hours in a heated garage, as per directions. They couldn't handle the shear force when I fastened the clip.

    Thanks for the reply,
    Bill
