Thought I would look at my air filter today,,, My airbox had a bunch of small rocks and dirt in it.... Hmm. And the dust rolled as I would shake the filter. Is this common from the intake being in the fender? Reminded me of how my shop vac filter always looks and acts. kinda scared me.. Also I didn't take it apart as I should have.. I left the tube on, and unbuckled it.... and then tried to take the box off the tube... And I broke a rear tab.. Never fails, I always break something. so I need a new filter.. Where can I order one? thanks

You can get the oem filter on Amazon. I dont typically have dirt and rocks in that chamber, but I have had bird seed in there from a chipmunk or mouse. Im surprised you could get rocks that far in.

I've found acorns and the makings of a nest. They must not have liked the k&n. Also found baby red squirrels and a very pissed off mamma red squirrel nesting on top of my cabin air filter. There's a nice sized hole under the cowl plastic looking right down on the CAF.
1/2" square galvanized screen fixed that problem for both.
