Air Conditioner turn on the heater, Heater turns on the Air Conditioner

New Member here. Thanks! I had a someone replace my air conditioning console due to the recirculation light not working, and the "high" setting not working. Friend bought an after market console replacement. Everything works, however, the settings are reverse. He doesn't know why this happened. Neither do I. Any thoughts. Thanks in advance.

 

Incorrect part.

05-08 and 09-15 the control voltage is opposite for the temperature servo.

It's kinda screwy because Toyota superceded the part numbers for the servo to the 09-15 version and the aftermarket followed so it's really difficult to get the correct servo for a 05-08.

Sounds like they may have done the same thing with the control assembly.

 

Should be ok to continue use with this part? Other than the reversed settings, it seems to be ok. What's your thoughts?

 

Yea, as far as I know that is the only functional difference between 05-08 and 09-15 control heads.
