I did get some howl from the LCA's, but that was a quick fix with the plastic plugs from Lowes. As far as mileage drop, I think it suffered a little but I don't know how much. I was making so many changes to the truck at the time ( lift, wheels, tires, bedmat ) I didn't pay it much mind. Besides, it is what it is, my Taco looks frickin' good!

I will have to look into that Mobtown skid. I like the looks of the TRD plate, except that it looks almost "white" in some of the pics. Its a little pricey too!

You won't notice a change in mpg. ALL the aero changes from 2nd gen to 3rd gen together (airdam, bed gap filler, thicker tailgate lip, etc.) may be good for 1 mpg.

Took mine off and never looked back. Have not noticed any difference in mpg. Looks so much better without it.IMG_20161120_150057.jpg

You will lose about 1 mpg at highway speeds (that is where these things make a difference). If you do a bunch of city driving you won't see much of a change, just a few tenths overall. Those that say no difference either only drive highway or they didn't know their exact mpg before. If you try to recall later if you were averaging 16.4 or 16.8 after the fact that doesn't mean it made no difference, it just means you didn't remember exactly and did not notice the drop. I did a strict highway test on my Silverado with and without the air dam at 70 mph over a 30 mile loop and it was about 1.3 difference, figure around 1 for the taco with a slightly smaller air dam. It certainly has an impact as they spent time designing, testing, building and attaching these things and it sure as hell is not because it has no impact. Overall it might raise the combined average a few tenths, but combined with other aero changes it adds up. I trimmed mine, did not like unfinished look with it removed.

Isn't hard to remove, pretty simple sticking your head under there to see what tools it takes if you have any basic handy skills. Probably should have just searched any of the other duplicate threads on this to get your answer or google could have produced the same result...

I like mine so far , it gives it a finished look. gonna leave it on for now. If it gets torn off I probably wouldn't put it back on.

I took mine off for a few days. Don't care about the mileage so much, but noticed an increase in wind noise and actually felt like more wander in a headwind on the highway. They do cut down on turbulence under the vehicle which is why you get the howl from the holes under the truck without the plugs etc. It may just be me, but I felt more of a handling difference than a MPG difference.

I went stainless. We get so much rain here that I thought it would be worth the extra 80 bucks. I've heard that they've solved the issue some people were having with the grommets they are now providing.
