Mileage is the reason. Looks better without to me. I haven't noticed the difference since my tires are 50lbs each.

I finally took mine off my 2017 DCSB this week. I absolutely love the looks with it off. I want to say I pick up on a tad more wind noise, especially in a headwind. I would imagine I will hear the howl sound others have complained of due to the open holes in the lower control arms. I will ask my dealer to plug those per TSB at my service.

Yeah that air dam is ugly. Every truck looks better without it if you dont mind about losing 1mpg.

I've had my truck for about 4 and a half months now. Took the air dam off about 2 months in. Mpg stayed the same. If it did change, it was so small that I didn't even notice it. Looks 100% better so even if I did lose 1 mpg I still would have done it.

Personally, if I see a drop in MGP greater or equal to 1 MPG it is going back on. People try much harder to get better mileage in other ways (additives, exhaust, Filters, etc.) It would make no sense to leave it off for an easy gain of 1 MPG+ I will have to see how it goes for myself personally.

I use mine as a off-road curb feeler of sorts, if the air dam scrapes, the path is a no go.

This is a good video, but it kinda sounds like you won't lose much removing the air damn.

I'm assuming you're taking about me.

I said this because, your truck measures MPGs pretty accurately. So, did we really need a thread asking if this will hurt MPGs after you already taken it off? You'll see the change yourself. So I was wondering if we did say there was a MPG change.. you'd install it.

Hey Fish! I thought this was just another dealer's add on..............a PNW Snow Plow! It's coming off mine too! I will look at maybe an upgrade on the skid plate?

I guess my biggest question on it is the factory mileage specs.

If the TRD sport with air damn gets 19city/24highway

Why does the TRD off road without air damn still get rated 19city/24highway?

I don't like the look of mine, I already get good mileage so it's coming off
