My air filter box is missing one of the clips that you pop open in order to reach the air filter. Toyota wants $800 for a new complete box and doesn’t sell just the clip. Been searching online and can’t seem to find any replacement parts. Anyone have a lead??

In the attached photo I’m pointing to the missing one, but you can see what the other one looks like.

    Thanks in advance!

Doing a brief search I don't see any replacements clips offered other than some of the auto part stores selling variety packs of universal clips offered in different sizes. Maybe try that or score one at a salvage yard.

I just replaced my air cleaner box, it's a 4cyl. If they are the same you can have the clips from it, no charge.

Hey yes I am definitely interested in grabbing these from ya! Let me send you a PM.

I rarely post on forums unless it’s something I truly can’t figure out. Love it when a forum post is actually useful like this!

Could you drill a hole and use a zip tie or 2? Or make 2 loops at each end and use a third to tighten them together?
