I am chasing the cause of a P0171... replaced air filter, fuel filter, injectors, valve cover gaskets, pcv, o2 sensors (yeah both), and last was part 22201 07010 air flow meter, which right after I cleaned last time make the truck to run without CEL on for 30 miles, so bought OEM 22204-22010 thinking it will work on my truck...maybe, except CEL is still there...F\/(#!!!!
Ohm readings are the same on the old 22210-07010 air flow meter and the new one 1.74 KOhm at 75 farenheight, which is kind of low, for what the service manual states. I still have a doubt on the right part number for my truck, that is a tacoma 2000 4x4 3.4l sr5...
Truck runs amazing, gas milage its pretty good , around 22 m/g but when hauling the loaded trailer I can feel it some lost of power when reving up the hill...
I did the spray over hoses ends with brake fluid, no luck...
looks like next step will be tape over the CEL,
does anybody have an idea of what to do? cause I am almost done! IMG_4913.jpgIMG_4896.jpgIMG_4912.jpgIMG_4896.jpg

You might have an exhaust leak?
    Have check for one yet?

Exhaust leak usually trigger p0420 in my experience. P0171 is hard to troubleshoot. Vacuum leak (most common), bad fuel pressure regulator, clogged fuel filter, clogged or leaking injector(s), weak fuel pump etc can trigger p0171

Really need to look at fuel trims at various operating conditions (is it lean all the time, only at idle, only under load, etc) to see what kind of lean condition you have, as stated above vacuum leaks are the most common cause of lean codes but low fuel pressure (wheather due to a weak pump or clogged fuel filter), exhaust leaks before or near the A/F sensor, air leaks near the MAF sensor or between the MAF sensor and throttle body, MAF sensor itself, engine mechanical, etc can cause a lean code.
Without proper testing your just throwing money away on parts you may not need unless you happen to get "lucky" and replace the correct part.
