I came back from a workout today and saw another Tacoma parked accross from mine... He keeps his beret on the same spot on the dash as I do. I had to laugh, you Air Force dudes can appreciate this.

You've got a little more of a coveted beret there though!

That's funny. I keep my beret in the same spot. I don't always wear it, so it helps me not forget it when I need it. Plus it doubles as a sunglasses holder.

Get your body used to lean mass. Go on jogs wearing an extra 50 pounds of crap, because armor is heavy. Big, muscular guys have a harder time - lean, scappy dudes tend to be more successful.

Lots of driving around in 4WD vehicles using radios and pointing laser designators at things that need to go boom.

Be good to your knees. You'll wear them out quick.

I was a combat comm guy working TACP in Bosnia back in '99. They all tended to be under 5' 10" and lean. They were also offroad enthusiasts, but satisfied that itch with humvees.

Good luck, study hard, and keep running!

I keep my ABU cap in the same place as well. Just easier to not forget it when you leave for work.
