Also if you put the dough ball off center closer towards the hinge it helps to get an even tortilla

I have my grandmas old press. The hinge pin broke cause it was so worn. No telling how many tortillas was pressed on it. I put a new pin in it.

So... I updated Post #1 with links to all the posts that had pics/times/temps.

I wanna keep updating post #1 but if you want your post linked it MUST include time/temp and some sort of description and preferably include some photos!

The reason behind this is simple.. when I share the link to post number one to friends/family/TWers they can see the best of what an air fryer can do and skip over the BSing posts etc. I want them to be inspired by the things we are making and be willing to try new things, we gotta give the basics of time/temp and photos are always inspiring.

If you have posted here before and didn't include information and your post isn't in the index.. please see if you can correct it and send me an PM of the post number you want me to add to the index. Please and Thank you!

For those tired of pale looking french fries in the air fryer.. a drizzle of melted bacon fat and toss to coat while frozen then air fried ... Great taste, crunch, and color... Eating with your eyes!

I'm in the market for a new air fryer since mine died last night after 4 years.
I was wondering if anyone has experience with both the egg shape ones and the mini oven looking air fryer. If so, any preferences?
Also looking for any suggestions in general when it comes to your favorite air fryer.
    Thanks

Personally don't like the egg ones. Not efficient odd shape lower temps etc

Whole sweet taters........microwave for 5-8 minutes depending on size of the big en's

Then into the AF for a couple minutes. Skin get roasted. Hot as heck, careful. Fast healthy snack.

I personally wouldn't buy a toaster oven style one simply because they appear messier. A basket style one can be wiped down and ready to use again in minutes.

Also, when cooking with the basket style one you can easily pour out the bacon grease etc and save it for other uses. I don't see that happening with a toaster oven style one.

I have the Gourmia 685 and I have had zero issues with it and cooked a ton of different foods in it..

Refer to post #1 of this thread to see all the different things people have made with an air fryer!
