I'm trying to replace the upstream air/fuel sensor on our 2001 V6 3.4L manual.

The clip is on top of the transmission. It's attached to the top of the transmission. I can't get my hands in there or even see it without a small mirror.

What is the trick to getting this thing unclipped?

    Thanks in advance,
    Louis

The trick is to go in via the gear shift, rather than from the bottom.

I've got some photos and steps to show the process in this post: Chasing the P0171 Engine Light
