I wouldn’t say that “they serve no purpose”. In some vehicles they make a big difference. Have you ever installed an aftermarket intake on your vehicle?

In a tacoma they make no real difference, some guys are chasing better mpg or "performance" imo it's just a waste of money. Get a OVtune or get a supercharger. The truck isn't known for mpg it's like trying to squeeze a gallon of drinking water out of a wet handkerchief. Alot of "newbs" get sucked right into this same topic. Again imo better mods and money can be spent for things that are actually useful and practical

No way an intake will improve MPGs in any vehicle, that is bullshit. Throttle response? Some better power? Sure.

I ask again, have you ever installed an aftermarket intake system on any of your vehicles?

Again. I've made my point clear , so the answer again is no. It isna waste of money for a tacoma and a motorcycle and a highlander. I don't own anything high end. I.e supras, wrx ,charger, challenger and the list goes on. But i do enjoy a labat blue on occasion maybe a molsen

Ok sir. You have never installed an intake system on any of your vehicles and say they are a “waste of money”, interesting. Do you just repeat what everyone is saying on here?

I’m a big beer guy:) No offence but Labats blue ribbon and Molson would be my last choices. We have a fuckton of breweries around here, nothing beats the taste of fresh made beer IMO.

My “poor man’s trd intake” improved the throttle response and sounds amazing, not sure in the power gains though. IMO on the taco’s 3.5L an aftermarket intake won’t make a big difference, it uses same air box as the 5.7 tundra. But to to say an intake makes no difference and it’s a waste of money is wrong, I would say.

12 pack of molson would be pretty harsh, haha!:puke:

I second this I don’t know if my TRD intake added any more power but throttle response could be felt the instance after being installed not much but you could still tell the difference from stock.
