Hey everyone I have a weird situation with my 2017 Tacoma. I have either never noticed that it did this or it started after installing sub and amp.

Installed sub and amp last Saturday and everything seemed to be fine. I am now noticing that every time I turn the truck off there is still air coming through the vents for 3-4 seconds and you can actually hear something running for that few seconds. Its not AC or heater specifically.

Again, it could have been doing this before and for some reason I just didn't notice..

Can someone please confirm if the air stays on for a few seconds after turning the truck completely off and do you actually hear something else click off a few seconds after turning the truck off?

I was thinking blower motor but I didn't think air would still come through vents while it was shutting off.

As always thanks for any input or advice on this guys/gals :)

There is something on the engine that runs for several seconds after you shut it off, maybe that's what you're hearing?

See and that I kinda expected but if you can try this...turn truck on turn regular air on doesn't have to be actual a/c just the air. Now turn truck off...does the air continue coming out of your vents for 4-5 seconds before clicking off? If I turn the air off before turning truck off its fine.

So far I'm getting the following feedback from a buddy of mine: There is a chance that the amp is back feeding and then after truck is off the amp keeps the system running for a few seconds until power is gone. If this is the case the amp remote wire will need to be moved to another location.

So pulled the fuse from the amp and it fixed the problem. Now just have to move the remote wire somewhere else.

Right now it's going to light green wire behind the head unit

So its currently tied into your igntion/accesory on position. Meaning when you turn the key or push the button it will get power. But for somereason it is feeding back down the circuit. The remote wire does not necassarily have to go to the stereo. Its basically a switch that tells the amp to power up.
In theory you could do an add a fuse to a circuit that is only on at ignition or accesory. Such as the aux power fuse.
Thats probably what i would have done then no splicing of factory wires.

Thanks man I'm may go that route since I already had problems finding a wire behind the head unit..and one I found is causing feedback.

So in your opinion having it hooked to light green shouldn't cause feedback? So it could possibly be something else and not the remote wire?

I couldnt even begin to figure out why you have feedback. Try posting in the electrical section of the forum. Some guru could probably fix you up asap.
