My airbag and seatbelt lights are on after I removed my passenger seat to recover it. Just the two lights, no alarm chimes. Any idea why or how to reset it? I did start the truck and drive it while the seat was out. Not sure if that matters. The plugs seem tight and secure.

I'm not 100% certain, but driving it with the seat out could have set a permanent code? TS can clear that.

Otherwise, try a battery disconnect. Pull both terminals. Negative off first and on last. While they are both off, touch them together for a few seconds to fully drain down the systems. Reconnect and see.

I’m at work until Sunday morning but I’ll try disconnecting the battery when I get a chance. I did read somewhere that it may have thrown a code when I drove it and it would need to be reset. Hopefully it’s as simple as a quick battery disconnect though.

It's interesting that the code didn't self clear when you reinstalled the seat. My previous experience, this is what happened. It is possible that Toyota has made changes to the code reset parameters to not reset until after a couple key cycles similar to OBDII compliance requirements.

I’m almost certain I heard them click into place but I will double check both plug connections.

I removed my passenger seat a couple times for solo wet weather camping. The airbag and seatbelt light were on when the seat was missing, and went away when I put the seat back in.

Last time that happened it reset after a bit. I would try the battery trick but likely it will reset. If not dealer can reset it. I assume you turned the truck on with the seat out?

The vehicle has a few systems that are always juiced. Unfortunately, you messed with one that is critical. Maybe it'll clear, my guesstimate it won't. :burp:

I've disconnected and reconnected that plug 3 or 4 times on my 19 Sport. Never a hard set code. I really think you should closely examine the connection AND wiring. Maybe something got pulled. That's a weird connector too.
