After removing my driver and passenger seats for a thorough vacuum and shampoo I reinstalled them. Shortly after the reinstall I noticed the dash light on. I've tried plugging in two different scanners so I that I could reset the light.. My AutelMax 200XP or something allowed me to reset the light temporarily. It shut off for all of 10-15 seconds. What else can I do?

    What code(s) do you have?
Did you get everything plugged in properly on the seats?

I'll have to get back to you with the code(s) thrown. Don't recall, something like P1601 not a definite though. Yes I plugged all harnesses back in correctly.

You need to do a zero point. Only higher end scanners will do this.

There is a way to do it without a scanner, but I have never done this.

Basically you need to tell the truck the seat is vacant and recalibrate the whole system.

Just out of curiosity, you don't have anything under the passenger seat do you? I've noticed that my airbag light will come on occasionally when I shove my hiking shoes under the seat; I'm assuming it's pushing up on the weight sensor making it think there's someone sitting there.

No there's nothing under either seat.
