Earlier this winter, I had started my truck (06 47000 miles) and during the drive home from work, the airbag light had came on. I left it figuring I would get it checked out the following day. However, the next day the light was off. Things were working fine for the last 2 1/2 months until yesterday when the exact same thing happened again...on for the drive home from work and off again today. I've read something that the seatbelts could cause this but I am unsure. Any suggestions?????

This happened in my dads BMW and the airbag finally gave up.

Take it in to the dealership the cold weather probably got to it. As in the gas in which an airbag deploys probably got down below working temp. Watch it in the summer and if it doesnt do anything in the summer than its exactly that

My work bag was on passenger seat but that wouldn't cause the airbag light on the instrument cluster panel to come on.

I need to go out and RTFM, but what should the airbag light do when operating correctly?

    Thanks

But the passenger airbag light is to the right of the radio correct. The light I am talking about is the drivers airbag light just below the speedometer. The one that comes on for about 5 seconds when you turn your key forward to start your truck.

There should not be a light on the speedo but when it "ON" and working correctly the red light near the clock should be on
