Airbag light on with no codes stored

Having a similar issue, air bag light on (didn't notice light was taped over ), no codes - bought as a rebuilt title vehicle from a private seller. The driver's buckle shows "set" even when the belt isn't buckled. Could it have been wired to bypass somehow? Or was that a part that should have been replaced and was not?

 

Wow, taping over the light is really dishonest. I still have an open issue with the light. Nothing has worked so far. I will deep this forum up to date of future results.
