It's on constantly, not flashing. I'm getting these codes:

B0132 Short in P/T Squib Right Circuit Ground
B0133 Short in P/T Squib Right Circuit Battery
    B1100 Airbag Sensor Assembly Fault

From what I've researched, this is probably not a problem with the wiring harness or connection from the main airbag sensor assembly to the passengers side airbag or to the seatbelt pretensioner like one would hope (cheaper), but an issue with the airbag sensor assembly itself ($600 part!).

Just wondering if anybody out there has had similar problems or any luck just replacing the wiring harness(es)? I'm finding the airbag system to be a little extra intimidating...

1100 means there is a malfunction in the SRS computer
0132 and 0133 means there is a problem with the right hand side pretensionner (passenger). It can either be the wiring harness, bad pretensionner, or computer itself

First, check battery. Old or malfunctioning batteries can cause the SRS light to come on and falsely telling you there is a problem (due to low or abnormal voltage coming from battery)

Then try to get your codes erased. Some old codes can stay in memory and cause the light to stay on until they are erased. I had a solid airbag light when I bought my truck, but it turned out to be just an old code that hasn't been erased from memory (related to clockspring/spiral cable). Never came back since then

If that does not take care of it, that means you have a problem somewhere. Take care of 0132 and 0133 first, as other codes can trigger a malfunction in the computer

If you want to test each item individually, here's the procedure for each code:
Remember to diconnect battery and wait for a few minutes before working on the SRS system

This is fantastic info, thank you! I'm guessing I'll need a pretty top of the line diagnostic reader to clear SRS codes?

Probably embarrassing question: in the troubleshooting guides, when they say to connect various things using a 'service wire'... what is that? Is it just a length of wire?

You need a code reader that can read SRS codes. Standard code readers you can find at stores can't read them (they only read check engine codes). Garages or shops probably have one of these specialized readers. The stealership sure does have one

Yeah, the "service wire" is just a piece of wire

Thank you. I did have a wonky battery I recently replaced. Fingers crossed.

By the way, I've been scouring through all of your posts and they are INCREDIBLY informative and helpful. I may be bombarding you with more questions about some other things. I'll try to keep it at a minimum. Thanks again!

Also, if the battery is replaced with the ignition in the ACC or ON position, it will cause a random SRS error code that will need to be cleared (won't cause the failure of a component, but the computer will register an error). I'm pretty sure this is what happened to mine, as I remember the battery had been changed when I went to pick it up (don't remember seeing the light on when I test drove it).

    I'm here to help! :)
