I have had a problem with my airbag light for some time now. I recently found some time to fix the truck but i am in need of some advice. I got the flash codes of 43 and 32.
i have looked up the codes and 43 is "Short in side squib (RH) circuit" and 32 is "Side airbag sensor assembly (RH) malfunction.
now 32 says the trouble area is "Side airbag sensor assembly(RH), or the wire harness"
and 43 says the trouble area is "Side airbag sensor assembly(RH), airbag sensor assembly, or the wire harness".

I do have the recall for the spiral cable that i havent gone in for, would that be the cause for the codes?
I know they dont appear to be related but from past exp on these things, i could be wrong.

if someone can help in any way, that would be great.
I am an auto tech so i will be doing everything myself.

You should locate that right-side sensor, and see what it, and the connector, look like. Wires and connectors are yellow, so are easy to locate.

Crazy thing, I just went the check the wires/connector and I don't even have side airbags.
Per a vin lookup, it confirms I don't have side airbags.
What the Frick do I do now?
Should I just go to the dealer and spend an arm/leg in cost not to mention time?!?

My SRS light came on the other night and made me nervous like at any moment the airbag can deploy, is that likely?

No, the bags will not deploy on you. They will not deploy under any circumstances, even a severe accident.
If you want your airbags to deploy appropriately (got a wife and/or kids?), take it to a professional mechanic to diagnose and repair.

Have an appointment at Toyota tomorrow to pull the codes and see if I'm eligble for the recall which showed up when I ran my VIN on toyota.com/recall site but also heard the clock spring recall or for specific clock springs batches. I guess I will find out tomorrow.

Spent a few hours at the dealer today for my SRS coil spring aka spiral wire recall which they replaced for me. They also said my leaf springs are recalled so they ordered replacement ones which will arrive in a few weeks. Anyone else go through this process?

It turned out when they did my spiral cable they hooked up there computer and all it needed was recalibrate the pass occupant system. Noore light and no more problems.
