I turn mine 45* to the airflow in the snow. Just barely collects on the inside corner.

you could always use panty hose as prefilter. We use them on quads when we roll through the sand.

Actually, I'm using a knee-high stocking now as a stink-bug filter since I'm right at ground zero for those little bastids.

Bought a cheapo one from eBay, holding up fine with a 4" hose clamp. Was $30ish shipped to my door.

I'm looking for some aluminum pipe now so I can do the removal of the ribbed plastic pipe. or some smooth plastic instead.

You'll probably get back to an aftermarket intake noise, which I miss on mine. Lemme know what you work out.

So those of you who have experienced the snorkel in winter, is there any easy way to clean the passenger side of snow/ice? Or tricks?

first winter with the snorkel and got the first snow last night. Seemed odd trying to clean it

make sure you wear gloves because you'll end up pulling out a lot of the snow by hand after you brush it toward the snorkel...

but best way to clear is open the passenger door and access from the top...but i usually brush from below, reach around the top and brush..scrape as much as i can and pull the remaining stuff out by hand by the snorkel and below the wiper..

Another question, how have those of you checked the snorkel is sealed fully? That way when water happens you know it will work if it has to.

    1) Put a bead of silicone around all the connection points
    2) Be confident in your install
    3) Go through a whole lotta water
