So if we turn the intake around in snow, (like you are supposed to?) we shouldn't drive more than 15 MPH? Seems like kind of a PITA if you live where it snows...

Yes, but I don't want to spend $460 on something that will make me have to drive 15 MPH whenever it snows...

You don't. Someone who has one drove in snow. Don't remember where I read it. La0d0g or spoonman's thread?

I'm getting one, but it still does some here.

    Also pmd you earlier Ben.

    Now

    RIGHT HERE READ THIS

This snorkel works fine in heavy snow on the highway. I drove 6 hours in HEAVY snow on the highway, and 8 hours in 3-4 foot snow in the trail with it billowing right into the snorkel at times. Zero issues.

    Also heavy HEAVY rain
Had a flood last year. It rained hard enough and long enough to wipe half of a local town. Truck ran perfect every day.

Did you by chance check your filter afterwards jamie? Just curious if it was even wet. I'm toying with the idea of getting the donahoe attachment, just cause it looks so cool haha.

Also, not sure why I'm not getting updates on my threads. Curious. Of you have questions I haven't gotten to, my number is on the vendor section.

I would get one if the intake itself wasn't so horrendous. Is there a way I can mount a top intake on it that doesnt look like ass?

Good to know Jamie...I assume you were driving above 15 MPH on the highway? If so, was your limiting speed due to the weather, or did you set a personal limit for yourself with the snow/snorkel?

There were a couple spots that my speed was limited by the snow coming down. I just could not see at all. 15 mph felt dangerous at times. And about 4 hours in heavy snow at 50-60 mph.

As for the rain, lots of highway driving.

I'm never worried with this snorkel

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Check out their AU Site: http://www.airflowsnorkels.com/product.php?cid=1&manufacture_id=25

They sell different style "hats", if you want a square, rectangle or smaller design. Not sure what diameter the Tacoma snorkel is, but I am guessing 3.5"-4". ***They also list the pre-filter socks for addtl. dust filtering. I bet it would also aid in absorbing any moisture that may make it's way down to the air filter.

Also I found this "Glow in the Dark" one on an AU site, if you REALLY want to be "unique" :D: http://www.snorkels.com.au/p/922990/airflow-35-fluro-green-glow-in-the-dark-snorkel-hat.html

Looks like from that site stock is the 4.5" design. they make a 3.5" square. At 169$ though its hard to stomach. I'd probably just keep the god awful looking top.

Theres very few cases where I choose form over function anyway. The main reason I personally stand behind the Airflow is that it allows the most air into the engine of all the options available. As has been stated earlier, this is the ONLY snorkel tested WITH A SUPERCHARGER. If you can pull enough air to boost, I'm in.
