For what I was saying it seems they just improved the quality of the over all kit a tad. For instance the black ring to tighten the snorkel head instead of the silver one. Little shit like that. In terms of over all quality it still seems to be the same story-looks great, hardware could be better, template sucks (from what I have read I haven't installed my snorkel yet)

Anyone tried an automated car wash with a snorkel? I still have 4 free washes left from my windshield replacement to use. Maybe I'll give them to the ole lady.

Glad to hear.....I'm seriously considering getting in on the second group buy even though I totally don't "need" a snorkel.

Not sure if I'd have the balls for that. MAYBE if it was absolutely touch free.

Anyone consider adding a drain plug in the piping under the hood just to drain out any water that can get collected over time?

That is an ultra gauge showing his intake temperature is the same as the ambient temp

Put me down for the second group buy please! I'm content with waiting for everyone else to jump in line, just gives me more time to pinch the pennies.

Wow this thread really took on a life of its own. Maybe I got lucky but my template was just cut out slapped on hole punched cut to 7/8 then 4 inch. Hammered main intake inlet to fit elbow. The main reason that's a bitch is because the elbow doesn't have room against the fender to get square to the existing hole. Anyway for the money and looks better than safari imo. But yea the directions suck but it's dummy proof. What's the worst case? You have to buy a larger washer to land the nuts on the body? Our fenders are paper thin pos. Outside of suspension. Favorite thing so far.

    Too funny!

Install duals... one on each side.

    Not yet!

... but at least I'll have loads of time to read up on the install tricks and tips in this thread before I can install it. :pccoffee:

So what is everyone using the Butl mastis or something else, what urethane did you use? And what was your reasoning for using it. going to put mine on soon and would rather use the best sealant for it

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
I used urethane because Ace didn't have butyl mastic. I'm glad I did. Urethane came in a calk tube and was easy to apply, it also came in black as well.

Does the urethane stay really flexible? and i guess i would say it never really dry (dont know how to really ask) I got some Mortite caulk cord, saw it used on a few overland snorkel installs.
