This is very tempting, why doesn't money grow on trees! Someone want to PM me when you need one more buyer to make it happen? Can't commit right this second, parts sale pending if it goes through I'm in.

I mean we should be able to get like a 4 to 3 inch coupler and bend the hose clamp down and make it work. Other idea I had was custom make the box or to modify the box using exhaust tubing and flange it out and seal it to the box. But then I'll be looking at like a 5 to 3 inch coupler.

a lot of bad ass stuff
Hey guys. Ive been looking over this thread for about a week now as a visitor and finally got a membership on here. I am very interested in going in on this group buy and understand that you all are trying to wrap this up soon and I believe the cost is 335 shipped. I just have a couple of questions. All logical and fair responses would be appreciated.

    1. I have read that with a snorkel you can see an increase in MPG do to the ram air effect. Is this true with this brand?

    2. How hard and time consuming is the install? I know you would want to measure and measure over again as you are cutting into the fender. Someone commenting on the pillar brackets dont line up and the template hole is to small. Any insight on this.

    3. other than a hole saw what tools are needed?

I am ready to hop aboard and make my payment but just need to see some answers that will ease the little doubt that i have.

    thanks

I cannot answer as to whether or not you will see an increase in mileage. You should not see a decrease though. From what I have seen the increase in mileage is very variable and not everyone is seeing an increase. It's possible but not a for sure thing.

I heard on the pillar brackets instead of drilling the bracket into the truck you can mount the bracket to the snorkel and then use like some emblem tape or adhesive to attach it to the a pillar.

You should need a hole saw to cut the big hole. Drill bits for the other mounting holes (from what I read). Flat head screw driver for your hose clamps and to be able to pop out your fender liner to make it easier.

That's all I know! Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in.

And you'll want someone with really small hands that is good at contorting their body to get the last upper nut threaded. That or just take the fender off.

The a pillar bracket is shit. Don't install it or have a new, better one fab'd up (the route I took).

    And MPG gains? Placebo effect.

keep in mind that this is a great price...you dont have to actually install it since you will catch your money back if you decide against the install. My 2 cents

We probably shouldn't promote GBs for profit making endeavors. That's bullshit.
