Looks sweet! Mine is still sitting in the garage. Just did the SS Brake Lines this weekend. Takes a lot of cajones to pull the trigger on the drill for sure. You don't happen to have to Toyota Part number for the inner clips do you?

If anyone else is going to do this install you'll need some of the Fender Liner clips ($.71ea at one online dealer) and possibly Fender Flare clips ($3.00ea at one online dealer) that the OP mentioned.

    Here are the Toyota P/N's:

    Fender Liner (8-10qty) 90789-A0002

Fender Flare (2 sizes) "few" of each possible
    Red 75395-35070
    Blue 75396-35020

There is 1 bolt that I didn't get on, the only way (I know how) to get it on is to remove the fender. I didn't install it and the snorkel is still tight to the fender. I also opted to run a bead of silicone along the edge of the snorkel (touching the fender) to keep water from between there as well.

I have to say the only concern I have about the snorkel is that someone throws shit in the air ram, like you said it will attract attention and sometimes that attention will be from assholes who would do that sort of thing.

Roll with an extra air filter. If some jackhole does that just disconnect the box, clean out the tube, install new filter and button it back up.

I think this is one of the most visually obnoxious mods available for our trucks :anonymous:

meh.......I know a guy who has been running a super charger with one of the first safari snorkels to be installed onto a second gen for many many years and he has had zero issues. His truck is now in another members hands and he also has zero issues. Not sure where your getting that info from but is has been discussed many times in the Safari snorkel threads and over the years his truck still runs perfectly fine.

and guys.....you're wasting your money buying hole saw bits for a one time use + they suck IMHO. I tried one on my fender a few years ago and never tried one again. Even blew my money on a great Lenox bit, waxed it up with tooling wax, and still had issues.

Just use a Dremel with a cut off wheel and free hand it. Ive done at least 8 this way with zero issues.

I agree I was thinking that same thing which is why I bought one just got to put it on now I really like the way it looks functional and BAD ASS nothing slight about this snorkel it's not for everybody but Tacomas I've seen them on it just looks BAD ASS no other way to say it.

I used an old holesaw I bought at a pawn shop for $2 that came with an arbor bit and worked like a charm :notsure: I've tried to use a dremel for other things (plastic, sheet metal) and I always end up screwing something up. I avoid using a dremel if I can
