Daily driving I have them set at 30psi. Front and rear. Having them at 40 psi they feel rough. My question is hitting trails what is a safe psi to air down to without blowing the bead? My size is 35x12.50r17 on an LT setup. There Toyo open country RT’s.

Start at 12 psi. Then go down 2 pounds every trip. Once you blow a bead go back up 2 pounds.

15 psi is very safe, but 10-12 is no issue.

I usually go 15-20 simply because I hate reinflating big tires, and yours are way bigger than mine.

Just have a beer or smoke when filling them up. I'm as impatient as you can get but the ride at 8 PSI off-road is easily worth the extra 10 minutes.

I've switched to motorcycles on trails, a hand pump works on those bad boys haha.

I've never gone below 10psi yet, I'm way too chicken to pop a bead even though its extremely unlikely, especially with the moderate trails I do with my trucks.

I'll go down to 6 when needed but that is where beads start to pop for me. I got really good at seating them. Just hi-lift the tire off the ground. Put a ratchet strap around it. Start filling it up. Sometimes it seats right away. Sometimes you have to kick it a few times. It's always fast though.
