Does anyone know or even better, has anyone replaced a LUK clutch assembly with an Aisin clutch assembly? Toyota National isn't sure so they had a local Toyota service center call me and answers like "I think", "I'm not sure" "I don't remember ever doing that" "It might be different" don't exactly instill confidence.

Their suggestion was to bring the truck in and let them pull the trans to see what is currently installed. This is the same dealer that screwed up 3 different services on my RAV4 when I was unable to work on it. Yeah, right, I'll be right down.

So if anyone has replaced a LUK clutch assembly with an Aisin clutch assembly let me know. 2008 5sp

    Thanks!

That is exactly what I did on my 2011 4cyl 5spd AC base. At 13,600 miles the clutch started slipping badly, and research indicated probably a LUK installation. Ordered the Aisin equivalent, which is also factory, and problem solved. Was a LUK clutch. Manufacturers usually have multiple parts sources for "equivalent" parts incase of supply chain problems wont shut down the assembly line. Direct swap.

Perfect. That's what I wanted to know. It didn't make sense that there would be a different flywheel or bell housing or fork based on clutch choice in the factory.
