AL - May 28th Slab Ride

Looks like we have enough interest to have an offroad trip to the "Slab" in Montevallo. This is a short distance south of Birmingham.

Dammit! I'm actually moving houses that weekend or else I would be down. Moving in with the GF and she didn't approve of my bachelor pad so we're moving across town to the fancy part of Mobile

So when I copied them, they copied as already linked http links. I copied them to notepad and then copied them back as straight text and they relinked properly.

How late do these trips usually go? trying to decide if I can go and still have plenty of time at the lake over the long weekend.

I won't know for sure until about middle of week before.

 

I have never been on the trails. Are there a lot of tight places to get scratched up?

 

The trails are pretty wide in most places. You can avoid brush 99% of the time.

I just googled the Slab in Montevalo and it came up as the old slab on Red Rock Rd. on 251.
Is this where you are going?

IDC if its a bicycle. If I'm paying for it and its my 20k mile dd I don't want it scratched up any more than it is.
